60th Birthday Card - Crazy Cats

A group card representing the birthday gal (inside) and her 4 buds (outside).

Cardstock: Recollections
Patterned Paper: Authentique
Stamps: Tim Holtz
Square and 60th stamps: Stampendous
Distress Ink: Tim Holtz
Font (greeting inside): CTMH Lemonade Stand
Edging ink: Stampin Up

Phew! This one took me a while to do.... I masked off the eyes and bows (on the presents) before sponging on the ink colours. All pieces were fussycut.  It's hard to tell in the photo, but the cat scene inside the card, pops out and lays flat when closed.

Caring Hearts Cards

There is a wonderful charity called the Caring Hearts Card Drive.  Handmade Christmas cards are donated and distributed to various senior's residences across Canada, U.S.A. and Australia.

I had the honour of helping organize the 6,000 plus cards that came into one of the Canadian organizers.

I, myself, only donated 10 cards.  I'm hoping to do better next year.  Here's two examples.

At the weekend crop, we did this tag as a make and take. I can't remember the name of the embossing folder, dies or metallic stuff we rubbed on it. I incorporated the tag onto a card.

Stamps: Stampers Anonymous
Ribbon: (unknown)
Ink: Close to My Heart
Word Stickers: Tim Holtz.

Sending Smiles

I was at a weekend crop in June and one of the challenges was to do a tag using items in our goodie bag.  I covered the tag with some of the patterned paper and used the turquoise ribbon and black/white baker's twine.  I tore the paper into strips and inked the edges to mimic water.

Oh....and FYI, my tag won the challenge. (grin)

Patterened Paper: (can't remember)
Turquoise ribbon: unknown
Black/white twine: unknown
other trim: unknown
ecru lace: Recollections
Stamp set: Avery Elle - Hello Chum (the shark, sentiment, surfboard)
Ink (to colour): Tim Holtz
Ink to stamp: Archival Ink

I made the tag into a card and the inside sentiment reads "Have a JAW-some birthday"

Colouring Book: Diecuts with a View
Pencil Crayons: Primsmacolor

Watercolour flower

I saw this idea in the Spring issue of CardMaker magazine.  You randomly stamp the flower and leaves on watercolour paper with VersaMark and emboss with clear or white embossing powder. Then you use a watercolour wash across the the panel for a rainbow effect.  The pink rose was stamped separately and embossed with copper embossing powder, coloured with a deeper colour watercolour, then fussycut and popped onto the card.

Done for a card challenge at ScrapShotz - April Showers (bring May flowers)

Embossing Powders: white - Recollection; copper - ????
Distress Ink (used as watercolour): Tim Holtz
