Happy Birthday - shaker

Card made from the Scrapbook and Cards Today March 2022 Sampler.
Anything with an * is product from the sampler, the rest, from my stash.

  • Cardstock: Recollections
  • Plastic: packaging from a stamp or die set
  • Sequins: from my stash
  • Pocket card (Happy birthday): Echo Park - Birthday Girl*
  • Banner, blue bird, elephant: fussycut from Echo Park - Birthday Girl*
How I made this card (thanks to an idea from Jennifer McGuire)!
  • Trim the 4x6 Happy Birthday pocket card down to 4 x 5.25 inches
  • Trim open the top and bottom edges of the packaging
  • Slip the pocket card inside the packaging
  • Fold over the 3 sides of the packaging, and adhere, leaving one end open
  • Add some sequins
  • Fold over and adhere the remaining edge of packaging (but not too tight)
  • Fussycut the banner, elephant and tiny blue bird and an extra elephant ear
  • Glue these pieces on top of the packaging as shown and pop the extra ear onto the elephant for extra dimension.
  • Adhere the completed panel on to an A2 (4.25 x 5.5) size card base
